Elementary Program
The
Primary One class is located at Oakwood School in
Lemont, Illinois. Utilizing a Total Communication
philosophy, the program focuses on the development
of all aspects of language, auditory and speech
reading skills, oral communication, school readiness
and social interaction, while academic skills are
developed. Direct Instruction programming in
reading and Visual Phonics are incorporated into the
class. Students are socially and academically
integrated into activities of the school.
Absences may be called into Oakwood School at (630)
257-2286, ext. 1100. Please include the student’s
name, room number, teacher’s name and reason for
absence. Feel free to leave a message and a staff
member will return your call as soon as possible.
