The
Junior High class is located at Old Quarry
School in Lemont, Illinois. Utilizing a Total
Communication philosophy, the program focuses on
the development of all aspects of language, oral
communication, auditory and speech reading
skills, daily living skills and social
interaction, while academic skills are
developed. Direct Instruction programming in
reading and Visual Phonics are incorporated into
the class. Students participate in a variety of
after school activities and community-based
field trips.
