Troubleshooting and Tips

Here are answers to common questions, along with some tips and tricks that we have found useful and presented here as questions.

    I can not reply or forward e-mail messages ... ?

This is caused by having a program loaded that blocks pop-ups. The two most common programs are Ad-Aware and Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2. Disable these programs to find out if this is what is causing the problem.  Back to Top


    I keep getting e-mails that my mailbox is over the size limit ... ?

The mailbox size limit is 20 megs and the combined size of all your emails is over this. Most times people forget to delete emails out of their sent items folder and the deleted items folder. Don't forget it is not the number of emails but the combined size of messages and attachments. What you should do first is delete unwanted emails from your inbox, then from your sent items folder. Then go to your deleted items folder and delete from there. This will permanently remove them from your mailbox. Tip: There is a icon to click on that will empty all contents from your deleted items folder. This is a quick and easy way to free up space. Back to Top


    Why can't I delete e-mails ... ?

When you try to delete an e-mail and you get the message "item not found". This is caused by the message already being deleted and your browser not refreshing the screen properly. Complain to Microsoft about this I do not have any control over it. Sometimes clicking on the refresh icon will show the new contents of the mailbox but it does not always work. To really see the current contents of your mailbox. Logoff, close your browser, then remove all temporary internet files. Log back on and the current contents of your mailbox should be viewed.     I am not getting attachments ... ?

Because of the threat of viruses, I block all attachments other then Microsoft Office documents and PDF files. I have only just recently allowed Wordperfect documents to be sent also. Sometimes people will save Microsoft Word documents as rich text format (they will have an .rtf extension) these documents will also be blocked. Back to Top


    What is the Filemaker Pro Host number ... ?

The number that is needed to connect to the Filemaker Pro server is 66.99.28.195. It is type in on the Specify Host screen.Back to Top
