Vision and Orientation & Mobility

Curriculum

The staff members of the Vision Program provide instructional and/or consultative support to students whose vision loss adversely affects their academic performance. Much of this support is addressed in the Expanded Core Curriculum.

The Expanded Core Curriculum for Students with Visual Impairments includes instruction in:

Career Education	Compensatory or Functional Academic Skills
Independent Living Skills	Orientation and Mobility
Recreation and Leisure Skills	Social Interaction Skills
Use of Assistive Technology	Visual Efficiency Skills
