Spring Track and Field Special Olympics

Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 3, 2008 for another exciting, fun filled, memorable day at the Spring Special Olympics.  Southwest Cooperative is starting preparations for the Spring Track & Field Special Olympics Event on May 3 at Thornwood High School in South Holland.

We are looking for a lot of Volunteers for this Event on May 3, we we have a lot of our Southwest Cooperative students who will be participating this year.  The Special Olympics has implemented a new Protective Behaviors Requirement.  All volunteers must complete the new training course in order to be a volunteer.  This applies to all volunteers new and old that already have Approved Class A Forms on File.  The Protective Behaviors Training is offered on-line at http://www.specialolympics.org/protectivebehaviors.  Visit the website and complete the course, it only takes 15 minutes, then print out your completion/pass form and turn it into Carol Kyle or Debbie Scharnhorst.

Congratulations!

Help us congratulate Emma Dabney on the birth of her grandson, Eric Jerome, born on March 12th.  Eric weighed in at 4 lbs 15 oz and was 17 inches long.  Both Mom and baby are doing well.  Emma is the Billing Clerk/Sub Coordinator for the Coop.
