Learning Links Time Is Almost Up! 
Remember that program meetings are available through March.  To date there are more than 6 program meetings that are open to all staff and ready to meet your professional development needs!  Register today!  Don't delay! 

Annual Stakeholders' Survey
Thanks to all those who have already completed this year's survey. To date we have received over 100 responses from staff, district staff and parents.  Please be sure to take the survey at your earliest convenience.  The survey will be live until Thursday, March 20th.  Just click the Annual Survey link here or go to the Coop home page.  We value your input!

SMART Goals Needed
Are you a good SMART goal writer?  We are in the process of collecting SMART goals that are typically used when writing IEPs for a goal bank for our new Easy IEP web-based program.  If you have goals that you would like to contribute to the SMART goal bank. please email them to Christi Flores at cflores@swcccase.org .  Your goals will then be accessible through Easy IEP and you will have access to all goals contributed.  Please send them using Microsoft Word format.  Don't be shy!  Share your hard work!

Norm Meyers Orland Days Carnival
This years' event is taking place on Thursday, May 29, 2008 from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.  Please note that the site for the carnival has changed to the 153rd Street Metra Station, which is located at 10401 W. 153rd Street in Orland Park.

This day of fun includes carnival rides, games, prizes, lunch and a tee shirt for each student.  If you wish to attend please email Mary Jean Fahey at mfahey@swcccase.org with the number of students attending and their shirt size.  Choices includes: adult small, X-Large, and XX-Large. I will also need the number of adult chaperones, the site and program name.  Please submit your information no later than Tuesday, April 1, 2008.  Transportation arrangements are not included.

New Travel Reimbursement Form
For those who travel, please use the new and improved Southwest Cooperative Travel Reimbursement Form.  The new form is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that automatically calculates your mileage reimbursement! To use, click the link above and when prompted, select 'save' to save the sheet to your local machine.  To use the form, simply type in your information and add your miles.  The sheet already has the latest rate and automatically calculates your reimbursement.  This form will also be placed in the forms cabinet of our website.

Congratulations!

Please help us congratulate Russ Morgenroth on his retirement from Southwest Coop.  Russ has been employed in the Maintenance Department since 1997.  There will be a reception for Russ on Wednesday, March 5th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Learning Links rooms.

Join us as we celebrate the retirement of Sue Fumi, a teacher for the Transition program on May 15, 2008.  The celebration will take place at Papa Joe's Restaurant at 14459 LaGrange Road in Orland Park.  The cost is $3.00 per person which will include both dinner and a gift.  There will be a cash bar and dinner will be provided at 5:00 p.m.  The deadline for making the reservation is April 15, 2008.  If paying by check, please make it payable to Roseanne Calahan and mail to 18521 Spring Creek Drive, Building B, Tinley Park, IL 60477.  Email your reservation to Donna Tuftie or Roseanne at their Coop email.  Please call

Congratulations to Kellie Poya, a paraprofessional with the D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. Program at Oak Forest High School, on the birth of her daughter, Isabella Bee on January 24, 2008.  She weighed 6 lbs and 11 ounces and was 19 inches long.  Mom and baby are doing well!
