Celebrating Over 50 Years of Providing Special Education Services

Welcome to the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS)

Welcome to the Division of Rehabilitation Services Department at Southwest Cook County Cooperative Association for Special Education.

We offer services through our DRS grant to fund the Transitional Employment Programs at Oak Forest Hospital, Palos Hospital and Franciscan Village. We thank these employers for helping our students.

We also support placement options of our students enrolled in our district schools as well as the Transition Program at Quin School. Many community employers have been very helpful. They include: Jewel, Dollar Tree, Bridgeview Court House, Walgreen's, Quizno's Sub, Hollywood Video, JoAnn Fabrics, and Burger King to name a few. Without the support of these employers we would not be able to place as many students as we do.

The goal of DRS is to help with transition from school to work in many areas such as employment, residential and adult services. We help facilitate referrals to access these services.
