Course Description:
This CDC
will focus on the requirements needed in order to be an approved mentor in the
Mentoring Program. Topics include communication skills,
problem-solving/conflict resolution skills, role of the mentor/coach, teamwork,
reflection and supervision skills. This CDC is designed to be a hands-on,
interactive experience emphasizing effective coaching principles needed to
support new employees. Participants will have outside assignments to complete
in order to earn the CDC credit.
Instructor Information:
Christine
Flores currently serves as the Assistant Executive Director at Southwest
Cooperative. She received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Communication
Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. In addition, she
received her School Leadership certificate from Lewis University. With over
20
years of experience, Christi often presents and consults on legal issues,
adolescent language disorders, autism, assessment, collaboration/teaming, and
speech-language disorders.
