Please note that these instructions will be modified as we progress
through this school year due to new reporting requirements and
enhancements made to iePoint>2010.
Revisions will be sent to you as changes occur.

The notable changes in
these instructions are:
Pages 45-49: Significant
changes to Indicator 13 reporting requirements for the 2010-2011 school
year:

In July 2009, the US Department of Education, Office of Special
Education Programs (OSEP) significantly changed the reporting
requirements that states and LEAs must use to reporting data for
Indicator 13 (Secondary Transition). Illinois has subsequently
updated the Indicator 13 checklist to reflect these new
requirements, which can be found at:
http://www.isbe.net/spec-ed/html/indicator13.htm.
Please carefully review pages 45-49, which describe these changes in
further detail.

Given
the significant changes to the Indicator 13 data collection for the
2010-2011 school year by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP),
incomplete Indicator 13 data will result in warnings for the October
and December 2009 FACTS transmissions. These warnings for
incomplete data will turn into errors effective with the March 2010
FACTS transmission.

States are required to
implement by Fall 2010 new federal standards for identifying the race
and ethnicity of individuals and for reporting aggregate data to the
