The role of the technology department in Southwest Cooperative is to support staff and student use of technology devices for teaching and learning across all cooperative sites.

We are proud of the work we have accomplished. Below are a few of the major projects and accomplishments in recent years:

  • Implementation of cooperative-wide helpdesk system for technology and maintenance needs
  • Migration to a new phone system hosted by Comcast
  • Upgrading cooperative network systems to Wifi 7
  • Server and other infrastructure upgrades
  • Migration of classroom tools towards a universal rostering system with Clever
  • Training and professional development on-demand for staff
  • Audio/Visual equipment upgrade for the Morton Gingerwood Building Gym
  • Implementation of additional cybersecurity tools financed by the E-Rate CyberSecurity Pilot program, one of less than 700 public school or library systems across the United States to receive funds in the pilot program
