Welcome to Learning Links
our Professional Development Division
Learning Links is the continuing education division of Southwest Cooperative. Southwest Cooperative believes in providing research-based professional development opportunities to staff, families, and community members in our area.
All professional development offerings available for credit are aligned with professional standards. Learning Links sponsors Program Meetings, Cooperative Development Courses, and Workshops throughout the school year and summer months. Interactive and multi-media presentation principles are incorporated into each continuing education offering.
Our new Learning Links registration system offers the registrant full access to their account, a wait list option for classes that are full, a confirmation email for each event registered, and a reminder email three days prior to an event.
To begin the registration process, view the course offerings and click the title of an event. To register select the "register now" link at the bottom of the course description. This will prompt a new user to create an account. Please use an email address for the log in name. Southwest Cooperative employees please use your Coop email address as the login name. Registrants must then select the "check out" button to complete the registration process. A confirmation email will then be sent.
Once an account is created, the registrant can log in and view the courses registered, as well as attended. Need to cancel a class? Log into your account and select the "cancel" link that appears next to the class.
In accordance with the Illinois teacher re-certification requirements, each program meeting will be equal to 1 continuing professional development unit (CPDU). Southwest Cooperative is an approved sponsor of continuing education for Speech-Language Pathologists and Social Workers through the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. All course offerings are available for CE credit to Speech-Language Pathologists and Social Workers.
All Learning Links offerings are available for free to Southwest Cooperative employees, Member District employees, parents of SWCCCASE students, and residents of our member districts. If an individual would like to participate in our continuing education offerings who does not meet the above criteria, certain fees will apply.
Learning Links participants should park behind the Braun Education Center and enter door P2. Follow arrows to the back of the building. If you need directions to Southwest Cooperative, click here. For a campus map click here.
